Privacy policy

Your files stay on your phone.

Effective 19 October 2026. This policy describes how the SuperZip app for Android and the superzip.in website handle information.

What SuperZip collects

SuperZip collects no personal information itself. It has no account, no analytics and no server that receives your files or passwords. The free version shows one banner ad at the bottom of the screen, supplied by Google AdMob. Any paid plan removes it.

Your files and passwords

Files are read, encrypted, opened and saved on your device. They are never uploaded. Passwords are never stored in a package or by the app. Temporary encrypted working copies live in the app's private storage and are cleared when the app restarts.

Permissions

SuperZip asks for no storage, contacts, camera, microphone or location permission. Files enter and leave through the Android file picker, which you control. The app declares the internet permission for the uses listed below.

Internet use

• Time check. When you open a package that has an opening window, the app reads the current time from the drand public time network. That request reveals your IP address and the fact that a time was asked for. It carries no files, passwords or package details. If the drand network ever stops permanently, a SuperZip time service takes over for packages created after that point. It confirms the time against several independent outside time sources and signs it only when they agree. That service handles time values only, never your files, passwords or package details.
• Banner ad (free version only). The free version asks Google AdMob for one banner ad. Google receives the usual ad-request information, such as your IP address, device type and advertising ID, and handles it under its own privacy policy. Your files, file names, passwords and package details are never sent to AdMob. Any paid plan removes the ad and its requests.
• Purchases. Plans are sold and billed by Google Play. Google handles your payment details under its own privacy policy. SuperZip receives only the purchase status needed to unlock features.
• Feedback. When you send feedback or a rating note, the app opens the email app you choose. The message, your Android version and your device model are included in the email you send to support@superzip.in.

Trial and settings

Trial state and first-use preferences are stored on your device only.

Website

The website superzip.in is a static site. It sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics scripts.

Children

SuperZip is a general utility app and does not knowingly collect information from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date.
